EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES COMMISSION AND KYENJOJO DISTRICT LEADERSHIP ENGAGEMENTS ON INCLUSIVE HIV/TB/MALARIA SERVICES.
People living with HIV/AIDS in Kyenjojo, have been encouraged to take up any opportunity and make positive use of them. This was in an engagement with the Equal Opportunities Commission Officials, and Kyenjojo District Local Government Officials in the District Boardroom.
It was noted that the total client care is at 22,816, with females at 14,497, and males at 8,319 as of 3rd quarter 2024.
It was however noted among many observations, that males don’t normally come for health screening, which makes the number lower compared to actual. Women though are screened quiet in many ways, like at Antenatal visits.
It was also noted, that the prevalence rate is high for both sexes in age bracket of 50+ years.
