DEPUTY CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER KYENJOJO HANDS OVER OFFICE

Mr. Ssenku Samuel Kimuli, the outgoing Deputy CAO Kyenjojo District, has today officially handed over office to the incoming Deputy CAO, Mr. Yiga Martin Paul. Mr. Ssenku was recently transferred to Luwero, replacing Mr. Yiga, who moved in the opposite direction.

The ceremony was attended by the Deputy RDC, Mr. Allan Bamuha, the Assistant RDC, Mr. Thaddeo Kasaija, the Secretary for Health, Production and Education, Mr. Tugume Brown, who represented the LC 5 Chairperson among others.

Mr. Ssenku thanked everyone at Kyenjojo DLG for the cooperation during his tour of duty. He apologized to whoever he could have hurt unknowingly, as it was never intentional. He also said he is proud he is leaving Kyenjojo, with his head held high, having never been involved in any scandal.

He requested the new Deputy CAO, Mr. Yiga Martin, to work closely with all staff, cooperate with all organs of administration if he is to succeed in his role. He handed over office tools, which huis incoming colleague received and acknowledged, in the presence of the Internal Auditor, Ms. Katusabe Doreen, Chief Finance Officer, Mr. James Fred Mugabi, and the Principal Human Resource Officer, Mr. James Mugabe.

The Deputy RDC, Mr. Allan Bamuha, thanked Mr. Ssenku for his tireless efforts while working in Kyenjojo, and wished him all the best at his new station. He welcomed Mr. Yiga to Kyenjojo, and appealed to him to concentrate on Administrative work of government, and offer services tirelessly as enshrined in the Public Service Standing Orders. He informed him that staff in the Lower Local Governments need close and constant monitoring for effective service delivery. He informed him, of cases where he has done snap checks in Health Centers and Sub Counties and found staff not at station, without any clear reason, or anyone at station with knowledge of their whereabouts. He also emphasized the need for Parish Chiefs not only to concentrate on Parish Development Model (PDM) but stretch their duties to other areas as per their job descriptions.

Mr. Yiga Martin Paul, the new Deputy Chief Administrative Officer Kyenjojo, thanked the team he found on ground for the good reception, which gave him hope of a comfortable stay in Kyenjojo.

He pledged and committed to work with everyone and management to uplift the atmosphere in Kyenjojo District. He thanked Mr. Ssenku for willingly handing over an organized office, with all the nevessary tools to facilitate and smoothen his work. He promised to closely supervise the Lower Local Governments (LLGs), and crackdown on absenteeism and late coming to work, with no valid reasons.

 

Mr. Yiga was escorted by an entourage from Luwero, who thanked him for the good working relationship and team work while in Luwero. They pledged to work with Mr. Ssenku in similar terms, and will make him feel at home as their own.

Mr. Yiga Martin Paul, is a born of Kyotera, in the Greater Masaka area, and has served in Rakai, Kyotera, Lyantonde, Kanungu, Isingiro, and Luwero, before coming to Kyenjojo District.
