KYENJOJO DISTRICT BIDS FAREWELL TO OUT GOING DEPUTY CAO

 

Staff of Kyenjojo District Local Government yesterday bid farewell to the outgoing Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Ssenku Samuel Kimuli, who has been transferred to Luwero District. 

At a colorful ceremony held at Tropical Hotel in Kyenjojo town, praise after praise was heaped on him, for the great services rendered in his line of duty, while in Kyenjojo District.

The Chairperson LC 5, Mr. Gilbert Rubaihayo, thanked Mr. Ssenku for being committed, and working diligently from his first day in Kyenjojo, for always being available when called upon.

When Mr. Ssenku first arrived in Kyenjojo, I told him to be a deputy CAO, not anything else. And he has one that for the two years he has been here. He would always be in office almost every Monday, despite his family being in Nakasongola. That shows how committed he was”, he remarked. “As Kyenjojo, we shall miss your dedication and humble ways”

 Mr. Gilbert Rubaihayo, the Chairperson LC5, giving his remarks at the farewell ceremony.

He handed over a cash gift, the staff contributed to as a token of gratefulness for his leadership.

The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), who had traveled to Kampala on official duty, was represented by Mr. Dan Businge, the Principal Assistant Secretary and Secretary District Service Commission.

In his speech, he thanked Mr. Ssenku for making his work simple, and always assisting him in his duties, guiding and talking to errant staff positively, rather than with an iron hand, and always doing his duties effectively. “You will be missed by everyone around here, and wish you all the best in your endeavors

Represented by the District Inspector of Schools, Mr. Niyonzima Everest, staff were grateful for the parent, father figure, and counselor that Mr. Ssenku was to them. He gave parental advice when needed, disciplined them with love, and always impartial in decision making.

In his speech, the beaming smiling Ssenku, thanked staff for the thought of having a party to bid him farewell. He reminisced of the good moments he had had since coming to Kyenjojo, thanked everyone for working together with him. He also apologized for anything that could have gone wrong, as it was never his intention to hurt anyone. He said he was leaving Kyenjojo with his head held high, knowing he was clean. “I will always love you, and have this district at heart”, he remarked.

There was a dinner served thereafter, and staff danced till late into the night, bidding farewell to a man they loved, a father figure to many, who rarely smiled, but would delight in being with them.

Mr. Ssenku, will be replaced by Mr. Martin Yiga, who was not present at the party, as he was attending to his sick father in Kampala.
