UPCLOSE AND PERSONAL: MR YIGA MARTIN PAUL, THE NEW DEPUTY CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER KYENJOJO

 

Yiga Martin Paul, is a Muganda by tribe, a born of Kalisizo Town Council, Kyotera District, married to one wife. By the grace of God, the couple has been blessed with 4 children, the youngest of them in SENIOR ONE.

Other than Luganda, he speaks fluent English, still learning Runyoro-Rutooro, and Runyankore-Rukiga. But can catch the conversation well in those languages, but yet to master them. He is very eager and open to learn the local dialect, for ease of communication and to fit well in society, though it’s a step by step task he is open to.

Mr. Yiga has a vast wealth of experience, having worked in a range of areas. He was part of the team that first worked in Kyotera district after being carved out of Rakai, worked in Rakai district AND Lyantonde as a Pricicipal Assistant Secretary (PAS), has worked in Kanungu for 1year, Isingiro for 2years, and Luwero for 2 ½ years all as a Deputy CAO, before his transfer to Kyenjojo in the same role.

On his communication style, He loves one on one communication, and interaction, and loves one on one feedback rather than generalization. Loves socializing, and little of phone conversations.

On hobbies and interests outside work, he is an outgoing person, loves and participates in sports. Loves watching football, motorsports, athletics, and he confessed to actually having been one in his early days. Loves socializing with all groups of people for the right reasons.

He prioritizes time and time management, and claims, “if you manage time, you do everything orderly, helps you get and remain organized, and open to working long hours to achieve set targets”

He has an open door policy of management, which involves truthfulness and transparency.

He looks forward to a beautiful working relationship with everyone here, and hopes to achieve his life’s goals, and retire a happy man!
